Methods of Using Demonstrations and Hands on Activities to Enhance Teaching in the Living Environment Curriculum Saturday Series Presented by Larry Weisberg, Marist College Adjunct Professor of Biology Science, Veteran Biology Instructor, Mahopac High School, Mahopac, New York In this four day program, dozens of biology demonstrations, activities and labs will be shared with Living Environment teachers of all instructional levels. The Course is designed to enhance instruction by using demonstrations as anticipatory settings in the every day class instruction. The demonstrations are easy to set up and thought provoking, fun , educational, and adhere to the Living Environment curriculum. Every demo, activity, and lab can be utilized in all seven units of the Living Environment as mandated by NYS Department of Education. The goals of the program are to provide the following:
The program consists of 30 hours of training. Each Day will be focused to specific areas of the Living Environment Curriculum.
